This is a modeling tool, not a kit and not an accessory for a model. A profile scraper works differently from a file or abrasive paper: the blade does not abrade the material over the whole area but removes it in a thin ribbon exactly where you guide it. The surrounding surface and fine engraved detail therefore stay untouched. The color version distinguishes the individual variants within the range; any difference in the profile of the blade is not stated here.
The commonest mistake is pressure. A tungsten carbide blade is very sharp and removes material even under a light stroke; heavy pressure leads to the blade digging in and to a score you then have to fill. Draw the tool toward you in several repeated strokes and keep checking how much material has already gone. On a parting line, guide the blade along it, not across it. Remove the plastic swarf with a brush so that it does not get under the blade. After scraping, a light polish with a fine sponge is usually enough. Tungsten carbide is hard but at the same time brittle — do not use the tool for levering and put it down so that the blade does not knock against anything.
It will be appreciated by modelers bothered by surrounding detail disappearing under sanding — that is, builders of aircraft with fine engraving, of vehicles with riveted surfaces and of ships. Given the sharpness of the blade it is a tool for more advanced work.
The tool has a very sharp blade. Always guide it away from your body, put it away covered after work and keep it out of the reach of children. When removing plastic, do not inhale the dust.
