A single bottle of one shade from the ATOM modeling paint range by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. It is not a kit or a set, but a paint for finishing models and figures. The name Glacier Pink points to a light pink with a cool, icy pale cast.

Where the shade comes in

Light cool pinks are used mainly as a highlighting layer. On figures and busts they suit the highest points of the skin, the edges of the cheekbones, the forehead and the finger joints, where the impression of falling light is meant to appear. Beyond that they serve for winter and ice motifs in fantasy scenes, for pastel details on civilian vehicles and, in dioramas, for areas that are meant to look cool and pale. A small amount mixed into a more saturated pink will lighten it without turning it gray.

Advice for working with the paint

• Stir the bottle thoroughly before use.
• Apply highlights to small areas and in thin layers, otherwise the model will look flat.
• Light shades need a lighter base, on a dark one their character is lost.
• If you thin the paint or clean your tools, use the thinner and cleaner from the same ATOM range.
• Make a test on a scrap surface with the same base as the model has.
