1.1 millimeters, the second to last size of the program. A hexagon with a lower profile where the joint is to be clearly seen.

1.1 millimeters already belongs among the diameters where the effect of the whole model is decided. A head that large draws the eye and becomes a point of reference: from it a viewer unconsciously works out how large the machine is as a whole. Overdoing it means eating up your own work on the fine details around it.
The profile of the crown stays lowered even at this size, so the head does not look like a cylinder set on the surface. On a real motorcycle such a diameter matches the screws of brake calipers, the mounting of the swingarm or the large joints of the frame, that is the places where heftiness is in order.
The package of larger diameters takes in this size as the fourth of five. Anyone building his first model of this kind usually reaches for the set, because he cannot judge in advance where which size will appear. A more experienced modeler, by contrast, buys them individually: once he has measured the diameters on the real subject, he then tops up only those that are running out.
On large heads it shows best of all how the bit was guided. If the hole runs off, the head tilts and the finished joint will look damaged. So prepare the drilling with a center punch and make the first turns in your fingers, not in a stand.
