Printed replacement wheels for a model of the Bf 109G-2 or G-4 in 1:72 scale, in the form matching the plain wing without the bulges over the wheel wells.
Responsibility details are not available.
In the G-2 and G-4 versions the Bf 109 was still built with a plain upper wing surface. Only later machines were given the characteristic bulges over the wheel wells, which had to make room for larger wheels. The choice of wheels is therefore not a cosmetic matter but a distinguishing mark of a particular version: a wheel from another production run under a plain wing will give the build away to anyone who knows the type.
Replacement wheels made by 3D printing, meant for a model of the Bf 109G-2 or G-4 in 1:72 scale with the plain wing. They replace the parts from the kit; the kit itself is not included. The number of pieces in the package and the kit the wheels are worked out for are given in the manufacturer instructions.
The printed parts sit on thin print supports. Cut them off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that you do not touch the shape of the tire or the fine detail of the hub. The material is not polystyrene, cement for plastic models will not hold on it, so use super glue. Wash and degrease the parts before painting so that no print resin residue is left on them, otherwise the paint bonds badly. Paint the hub and the tire separately and choose a dark gray rather than a pure black for the tire; at a small scale pure black looks flat.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
