Light Stone is a light sand tone with a warm, slightly yellowish base. The notation BS 381C:361 refers to the British regulation chart of colors, in which the shade has number 361; thanks to that it is an unambiguously defined color, not a free guess at a shade from a photograph. In the chart it lies beside other desert tones, from which it differs precisely in its lightness.
You will meet it most often on British vehicles used in the Middle East and in North Africa, where a light sand replaced the dark European finishes. On a model such a color is treacherous in that large light areas swallow the detail: without emphasized shadows the model looks flat. So count on toning, dusting and lightening the edges of the finished paint afterwards. The real shade on a particular machine faded and dusted over quickly as well, so the deviations in period photographs are not a fault of the chart.
Shake the bottle well before work, as with light opaque shades the pigment settles markedly. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, that is the thinner made for this range. Spray several thin coats onto a light base, otherwise a dark base will show through the sand color.
The thinner, brushes and spraying equipment are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
