Candy Ink TIGER EYE BROWN is a translucent varnish from the Candy Ink range of the Spanish brand Green Stuff World. The name refers to tiger's eye, that is to a brown stone with a warm, golden shining core. It is not an opaque paint: the layer stays transparent and changes the tone of whatever is beneath it toward a warm brown. That is exactly how it should be counted on, because the color of the base always leaves its mark on the result.
Candy Ink is a toning, translucent layer, not a paint for covering a surface. When you apply it over a light base, it comes out differently than over a dark one, and every further layer shifts the tone deeper. From that follows the main rule of working with it: go in thin layers and keep checking where the shade has moved. Try it beforehand on a spare piece of plastic or on a test area. Shake the bottle properly before work and read the closer technical figures on the packaging, where the manufacturer gives them.
It is intended for modelers who want to give metal and brown surfaces depth without covering them. It finds use on figures and busts, on dioramas and on models of cars and motorcycles, where work with translucent varnishes is common.
Keep the paint out of the reach of children, work in a well-ventilated room and close the bottle carefully after every use.
