A twin pack holding two injection-molded plastic kits of Chinese jet fighters in 1:72 scale from Cyber-hobby. In a single box you get models of the Jian Ji-2 and the Jian Ji-5, that is the Chinese license-built versions of Soviet fighters. These are proven molds with finely engraved panel lines.
The Jian Ji-2 (J-2) is the Chinese version of the first jet fighter, the MiG-15, while the Jian Ji-5 (J-5) corresponds to the later MiG-17. China began building them in the early 1950s and both types became the backbone of the Chinese fighter force of the day. Aerodynamically one follows on from the other, with the J-5 bringing a refined fuselage and a more powerful engine.
Join the parts with thin plastic cement, fill the fuselage seams and sand them down. A primer coat and an airbrush are worth using; metallic and silver shades come out best on a smooth surface. Apply a gloss varnish before the decals and bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
