A sheet of circular masking templates in the diameter range 5.0 to 5.9 millimeters. The templates are not tied to one kit or to one scale; they come into their own everywhere a regular circle has to be sprayed or, on the contrary, a circular area has to be protected from paint. The exact grading of the diameters and the number of pieces on the sheet are given by the maker.
Typically these are wheel rims and hubs, circular lights and reflectors, vision ports, instrument covers, targets on shooting ranges and the circular elements of national insignia. They also come into their own with figures, on dioramas and everywhere a circle cut freehand would betray itself by an irregular edge.
Place the template on a perfectly clean and degreased surface and press the edges down carefully so that paint does not run under them. Spray in thin layers and perpendicular to the surface; a dense layer applied from the side gets under the edge far more easily. Lift the mask off shortly after the paint has dried; an edge left on for a long time separates less well. On an intricate surface use a new template rather than shifting one from place to place.
The sheet suits modelers across fields who spray with an airbrush and want their circles regular without cutting them freehand. Paints, thinner and clear coats are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
