It is not a model or an accessory for one but a modeling supply for the workshop. The clear foil serves as a general material from which you cut a mask or a template exactly to the shape you need to cover on a model. The advantage of transparency is obvious while positioning: through the foil you can see the engraving, the panel lines and the edge of the color, so the shape lands exactly where it should. The package contains three sheets in 10x15 format, so for one model it will last for several attempts.
Cut the foil with a sharp scalpel on a cutting mat, not on the table. A blunt blade tears the material and the edge then will not hold a sharp transition. Circular shapes are cut with a compass cutter, and for small diameters an ordinary punch will help. Before spraying, press the foil down carefully along its whole edge and secure it around with masking tape, so that paint does not creep in. Spray perpendicularly and in thin coats; an angled spray will blow under even a well-seated mask. Take the foil off while the paint has only flashed off, not once it has dried completely.
The foil is a consumable. Work on a mat and with a sharp blade while cutting, and take the mask off carefully after spraying, so that no paint is pulled away.
