Its place is elsewhere: on the metal and decorative details that appear on a camouflaged vehicle at the moment the camouflage is finished. The matte surface is an advantage here, because a gold accent beside matte camouflage areas does not shout and does not break up their look. Where it is used on vehicles
Gold tones usually reach a model only at the end of the painting. They are harder to mask over and further layers change their look, so it pays to have the camouflage fields and the transitions between them finished before gold comes into play. Apply it deliberately, over a small area, so that the accent stays an accent.
