Cobra Motor Blue Canvas is a blue shade from the AMMO of Mig Jimenez line whose name refers to canvas and the textile parts of models.
Responsibility details are not available.
Most shades of the Cobra Motor line aim at the glossy finish of a body, but this one has canvas in its name. A blue with such a name suggests itself wherever there is fabric on the model instead of sheet metal, so above all on the folding roofs of convertibles, on covers and on tarpaulins. AMMO of Mig Jimenez put the Cobra Motor line together for car and motorcycle models and names the shades in it after real subjects.
Fabric on a model is meant to read differently from a body. While a finish should reflect light smoothly, canvas has to look more matte and the waves of its shape are brought out by shadow rather than by gloss.
To keep the fabric from looking like sheet metal, it helps to highlight the tops of the folds lightly with a paler tone and to darken their bottoms gently. Work in thin coats and build the texture only once the base has dried. Check the thinning and the suitable thinner against the manufacturer's data on the label.
For car modelers who build convertibles and utility vehicles and are looking for a blue for the fabric parts. Diorama builders who need a tarpaulin or a cover will use it too.
Store the paint well closed and out of the reach of children, work in a well ventilated room and protect your airways when spraying.
