DakkaDakka - Nocturnal - Night Lords Shoulder Pads Set 01 1:48

DakkaDakka - Nocturnal - Night Lords Shoulder Pads Set 01 1:48

The set belongs among accessory parts for figures, not among standalone models. These are pauldrons from the Nocturnal - Night Lords range by Green Stuff World in 1:48 scale, that is parts with which the look of the shoulder area of a figure is changed.

Why pauldrons in particular

At this scale the shoulder is the largest continuous area of the upper half of the body and a viewer notices it before the face or the armament. That is why the recognizability of the whole rests on it: even from a distance the shoulders tell you that the figures belong together, however much they differ in everything else. The relief of a pauldron also works as a natural frame for the paintwork, since the area is large enough to carry a strong shade and at the same time bounded, so it does not disturb the silhouette.

Where the set comes into its own

• bringing the look of a group of figures into line with one pattern
• setting one squad apart from the rest of a collection at a glance
• filling out a personal stock of parts for compositions of your own
• adding visual interest to a figure with an otherwise flat shoulder

Who the set is for

It is aimed at modelers and collectors who put the look of their figures together their own way and want visual control over the result. The Nocturnal - Night Lords range designation is in the manufacturer's original wording. The contents of the package and the dimensions of the parts are given by the manufacturer on the packaging; we recommend comparing the size with the figures you already have in your collection.
