Gauge H0 20 autumnal natural fibre bushes

HEKI autumn bushes of natural material, 20 pieces

A set of twenty low bushes from the German maker HEKI in autumn coloring, built on a framework of natural plant material. Bushes tend to be overlooked on a model, yet it is precisely they that decide whether a landscape looks lived in: they grow over field boundaries, the feet of trunks, the edges of roads and the places by walls, that is exactly the places where a bare area comes across as artificial. Twenty pieces in a package are enough for many such places to be dealt with at once.

Use

• growths of bushes on field boundaries and along roads
• overgrown feet of trunks and corners by buildings
• the edges of woods and the transition between a meadow and trees
• an autumn touch of color in the low vegetation

How to work with the bushes

Take the bushes by the lower part, as a natural framework is more fragile than plastic. They are stuck into the landscape or glued with a drop of white glue. You will reach the best results if you do not place them individually but in small groups of two to four pieces of unequal height, because that is how bushes grow in nature. Then add a grass tuft around the group so that the transition from the ground is not abrupt.

Who the set is for

For builders of layouts and dioramas who fine-tune their low vegetation, and for modelers building autumn scenes. The set also suits being split between several scenes, because low vegetation gets used up as you go and a stock of bushes always comes in useful. It is a modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its landscaping goods as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
