A Martin-Baker Mk.9 ejection seat for the Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.1 in 1:32 scale. Printed parts with fine division of the frame and the padding.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.1 was the first production combat aircraft capable of vertical takeoff and landing to reach front-line service with the RAF at the close of the nineteen sixties. The cockpit of such a machine is packed with controls, and the ejection seat in it is among the details everyone looks at. The Mk.9 series of seats from the Martin-Baker firm were rocket-assisted and made escape possible even at zero speed and zero altitude.
The set brings a Martin-Baker Mk.9 ejection seat for the Harrier GR.1 in 1:32 scale. The parts are printed on a 3D printer, so they carry the fine division of the frame, the padding and the controls that a large scale calls for. The seat is intended as a replacement for the part from the kit.
Separate the parts from the print supports with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remaining traces with fine sandpaper; on the thin parts of the frame go in small steps and without pressure. Wash and degrease the seat before painting. The parts are not made of polystyrene and are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. The painting rests on setting the dark frame, the lighter padding and the warning-striped handle apart; a faint dark glaze will bring the division out and a light accenting of the edges will give the seat depth.
The set belongs to builders of the Harrier GR.1 in 1:32 scale who leave the cockpit open and want the seat to stand up to being looked at from close to. In this scale practically every detail is visible.
Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
