A decal sheet for 1:35 scale with divisional markings, crosses and turret numbers of German armored units from the beginning of the campaign in the east.
Responsibility details are not available.
The period from June 1941 to the end of 1942 is for modelers of German equipment the most rewarding and at the same time the trickiest. The vehicles set out eastwards in gray paint with pronounced white crosses, and within a few weeks it turned out that the cross was an ideal aiming point for enemy gunners. The crosses were therefore reduced, filled in with the surrounding color, and in the end only a white outline was left. Alongside that, three-figure turret numbers became established, where the first digit belonged to the company, the second to the platoon and the third to the particular vehicle.
Besides the national crosses they are above all the divisional markings, that is simple geometric symbols drawn with a stencil on a fender or on the nose, and sets of digits for the turrets. It is precisely the divisional markings that make decals of this kind a useful thing, because they cannot be put together from free sources and can be managed by hand painting only with difficulty.
