The fighting in eastern Ukraine in 2014 and 2015 was conducted under the official designation of the Anti-Terrorist Operation. The soldiers of that time looked very varied in photographs: alongside the field uniform that was being introduced, older uniforms were worn, along with accessories obtained outside the stores and helmets of the most varied origins. For a modeler that means freedom, because a single figure will take several truthful color interpretations.
In the package is a figure in 1:35 scale cast in resin, supplied unpainted and with casting blocks that have to be removed before building.
It is advisable to wash the resin casting in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the mold release agent comes off the surface. The casting blocks are cut away with a fine saw, not snapped off, and the area left by them is leveled with a file and fine abrasive paper. Sanding is safer done wet and with a respirator. The joints are held by super glue or epoxy. On the intricate patterns of a field uniform it works well to apply a lighter base first, to paint the pattern in with a thin brush and finally to unify the whole with a weak glaze, so that the pattern does not look too contrasty.
The figure is intended for builders of modern dioramas and models of armored equipment in 1:35 scale who want to add a figure on foot to a scene. The package contains only the resin casting. The model, paints, glue and a base are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
