Pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the cabin glazing and the wheel hubs of the early version of the Mi-24A attack helicopter in 1:72 scale. They correspond in shape to the Zvezda kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mi-24A is an early version of the Soviet attack helicopter which, besides its armament, also carried soldiers in the fuselage. It can be told from the later machines at first glance: instead of two bulged cabins one behind the other it has wide greenhouse glazing divided into a row of flat panels with dense frames. For a modeler that means a lot of work with masking, because every panel has to be covered separately.
The set consists of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the glazing of the cabin and masks for the wheel hubs. The cuts correspond to the shape of the parts of the Zvezda kit in 1:72 scale.
First wash the glazing and let it dry completely. Take the masks off with tweezers, settle them dry and press them down around their whole perimeter, above all in the corners of the flat panels. With that many parts it pays to proceed systematically along one side of the cabin and to look the whole part over against the light before spraying. Paint in thin coats and take the masks off as soon as the paint is dry to the touch, not after several days of hardening.
The set suits anyone who builds the Mi-24A in 1:72 scale and wants sharp frames of the glazing and cleanly separated wheel hubs. The package contains only masks; the model, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
