A set of decals for a large-scale model of the Soviet T-34/85 medium tank. It is an accessory for a finished model, not a kit or a spare part. The markings come from the units of the 4th Ukrainian Front and from 1944.
The T-34/85 came about as an answer to the growing armor and armament of the enemy. Against the earlier version with its 76 mm gun it was given a larger three-man turret and an 85 mm gun, so the commander no longer worked the weapon and could direct the fight. The year 1944 was a period of large offensive operations in which tanks moved over great distances and tactical markings had a practical point in telling one's own vehicles apart. It is from this setting that the set comes.
The set is meant for modelers who build the T-34/85 in 1:16 scale and want to place the model with a particular formation and battlefield instead of the general markings from the box. It comes into play with static models and with radio-controlled machines, where the large area of the hull and the turret lets the markings stand out. It also serves well as a basis for a diorama scene from 1944.
