The Chevrolet Monte Carlo was a two-door car of the upper middle class, that is a typical American coupe with a long hood and rear-wheel drive. The SS form was its sporting version and set itself apart by the treatment of the front end and by body additions that took some of the boxiness away from the car. The Monte Carlo of the second half of the nineteen eighties is firmly bound up with American stock car circuit racing, where the shape of the body played a part outside the showroom as well.
This is a plastic kit in 1:24 scale, the most widespread scale for American car models. The finished model measures roughly twenty centimeters. The extent of the parts, that is how detailed the engine bay and the chassis are and what printed options the sheet offers, is stated in the instructions and by the contents of the box.
