The subject is a fire-fighting vehicle on a MAN TGM 4x4 chassis with a body by Schlingmann. It is a large and detailed build with openable lockers, ladders and a crew; the box holds around three hundred parts.
The HLF 20, a fire and rescue appliance, is a modern all-round fire-fighting vehicle that serves not only for fighting fires but also for technical rescue and extrication. It carries a pump, a water tank, hoses and rescue tools, and its all-wheel drive (4x4) lets it reach demanding terrain.
Given the number of parts this is a more demanding build, suited to more experienced modelers. Paint the cab and the body with an airbrush in thin coats over a primer; the signal red will reward a good base. Paint the equipment in the lockers before assembly. Glue the glazing in a way that does not fog it, and add the reflective markings with the decals supplied.
