This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model. The set contains cast resin landing gear wheels for F-8E Crusader models in 1:32 scale, in the type 2 rendering. It replaces the plastic wheels of the basic kit.
The type 2 designation matches a particular variant of the wheel pattern, so the set allows an accurate choice according to the machine being built. Resin captures a faithful tread pattern, the hub and the axle boss, and the wheels are usually made with a hint of load on the tire. The F-8 Crusader was an American supersonic carrier fighter, known among other things for its variable-incidence wing for landing on deck.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up with your airways protected. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay down a primer before painting; the detail of the wheels will come out after a fine wash.
The set contains resin parts and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
