The eighth kit in the post-apocalyptic The Last Bridge series carries the subtitle Clan of Wolves. The figures are in 1:24 scale, that is, the size in which most car models are built, so they can be combined with vehicles, wrecks and scenery elements in the same scale. The larger scale also allows the expression of the face and the material of the clothing to be worked out in more detail than is usual on smaller military figures.
The set is supplied unassembled. Before gluing, wash and degrease the parts, cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the traces of manufacture down with fine abrasive paper. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and go through the procedure in the manufacturer's instructions. Dry fit the joints of the heads and arms first: in 1:24 scale every deviation in the pose shows far more than on smaller figures. Fill and sand the seams after gluing, otherwise the paint will emphasize them.
Larger figures call for smooth transitions. Build the paint up in thin coats, play the face out with warm and cool shades and underline the folds of the clothing with a wash. The post-apocalyptic subject suits worn fabrics, leather with scuffed edges, dusty boots and a muted palette with no bright tones. Unify the surface with a matte clear coat at the end.
The set will be used by modelers who build scenes with a post-apocalyptic subject and by collectors who like painting figures in a larger scale. Paints, glue and scenery accessories are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
