Ground equipment for the MiG-21MF fighter in 1:48 scale from the RYE FIELD MODEL workshop. It is not an aircraft model but the equipment that surrounded it on the air base.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item from the RYE FIELD MODEL brand does not belong on the aircraft but around it. It brings the equipment that stood on the parking apron with MiG-21MF fighters between flights - the elements that turn a lone model into a scene with a context. Do not look for an aircraft kit or parts of one in the package; it is an accessory for a diorama and for a more striking display of a finished machine.
Operating the MiG-21MF made heavy demands on ground equipment. The short range meant frequent refueling, the R-13 engine needed care and the weapon systems were replenished right on the apron. Equipment that the aircraft could not do without in winter or summer operations therefore moved around it. A model supplemented with this setting stops being a sample of a shape and starts telling the story of service with a particular unit.
Ground equipment usually has a more tired surface than the aircraft itself. It pays to unify it with a muted base, then add scuffs in a sharper shade along the edges and finally settle dust with a pigment from the ground upwards. Try laying the individual pieces out before gluing, so that you know how much room on the base you will need.
