Injection-molded plastic kit of the four-door Volvo 760 GLE sedan in 1:24 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted set with waterslide decals. The markedly angular body captures the character of the luxury Volvo of the first half of the 1980s; the hood can be left closed or separated to reveal a rendering of the engine bay. The set includes interior parts, glazing and chrome features, and once finished the model measures about twenty centimeters.
The Volvo 760 was introduced in 1982 as the flagship with which the brand meant to establish itself firmly in the premium segment. The GLE version was the best equipped variant with the emphasis on comfort. The angular, self-confident design became one of the typical symbols of Scandinavian cars of its time.
Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, treat the body with a primer and paint it best of all with an airbrush in thin coats. The straight, glossy surfaces of the sedan will reward careful sanding and polishing of the paint; fit the chrome and the glazing only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
