This is a resin, 3D printed detail accessory in 1:32 scale from Reskit. The set holds one 300 gallon (1136 l) centerline fuel drop tank with the matching pylon, in the Type 2 version. It is not an aircraft kit but a replacement part that takes the place of the less faithful tanks from the box and raises the realism of a model.
The centerline tank under the fuselage extends the range of the F-16 Fighting Falcon and is carried on the fuselage station. Reskit offers two forms differing in shape and detail; this is Type 2. The precisely printed surface faithfully reproduces the panel lines, the joints and the attachment fittings.
Once the parts are off the print support, wash them free of any uncured resin residue, cut the remaining supports off carefully and clean them up. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degreasing the surface and going over it with a base coat is advisable before spraying.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package. Sand resin with your airways protected.
