BAe Hawk T2 (100 Series) 1:32 — exhaust nozzle from the manufacturer Reskit. A replacement for the simplified nozzle from a kit of the advanced trainer; it is not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not a kit but a detail set for the exhaust nozzle in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Reskit. It is intended for models of the BAe Hawk T2 advanced trainer from the 100 Series and replaces the plastic nozzle, which tends to be thick-walled and without internal structure. The model, the paints and the glue are not included.
The Hawk T2 is the designation of a Royal Air Force advanced trainer that follows on from the older Hawk T.1 but already belongs to the upgraded 100 development series. Compared with the original machine it received more modern avionics and a more powerful variant of the Rolls-Royce Turbomeca Adour turbofan. It is precisely the different engine that is the reason the exhaust tailpipe differs from the older Hawks and why both sets are listed as separate items. So if you are building the Hawk T.1 or T.1A, you need a different nozzle.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry well, so that the primer holds. Cut away any casting residue with a sharp blade, sand the surface back and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Check the diameter of the seating in the rear fuselage dry and adjust it in small steps if necessary. Metallic shades only stand out on a smooth base, so polish the surface thoroughly before applying metallic paint. The inside of a nozzle usually darkens toward the rear; a dark wash and gentle drybrushing will help.
