This is an accessory to a model, not an aircraft kit. The set replaces the canopy frame and, according to the name, is rendered in the closed position, that is for a model that is meant to be shut up and ready to fly. It is intended for the two-seat versions of the Mirage 2000, the 2000B trainer and the 2000D and 2000N strike versions, in the large 1:32 scale.
The Mirage 2000 is a French single-engine fighter with a tailless delta wing. Alongside the single-seat fighter versions a whole series of two-seat versions came into being: the 2000B serves for training, the 2000N is a carrier for penetration at low level and the 2000D builds on the same airframe in the role of an aircraft for precision strikes with conventional munitions. All of them share a lengthened forward fuselage and a tandem cockpit with two seats one behind the other, which comes with the characteristic long canopy and its prominent frame.
The frame is a small part on which clean work is what counts. Before you start painting it, test its fit dry and check that it follows the outline of the fuselage without a gap. The inner face of the frame is painted differently from the outer one, so finish it before you seat the part. Mask the transparent sections carefully and apply the glue in the tiniest of drops, which will keep it from fogging. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
