This accessory is a replacement cockpit canopy frame in the open position, not a whole model. It is a 3D-printed resin part in 1:32 scale for building the F-35 fighter in the A and C versions. The frame makes it possible to show the aircraft with the canopy raised and the cockpit exposed, with faithful details that tend to be simplified on plastic parts.
The F-35 Lightning II is a single-seat fifth-generation multirole fighter with low-observable features. The A version is the land-based one with conventional landing gear and the C version is the carrier one with larger wing surfaces. An open canopy lets the details of the cockpit and the ejection seat stand out.
Separate the part from the print supports, wash and degrease it; it is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. The glazing can be completed with the clear part from the kit or with formed film and masked during painting. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
