1:32 GBU-39 with the BRU-61 rack is an Eduard resin detail set from the Brassin range - modeling armament for an aircraft model in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is a detail set of resin parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard from its advanced Brassin range, intended for models of combat aircraft in 1:32 scale. Its contents are underwing armament: GBU-39 small diameter bombs together with the BRU-61 rack they are carried on. The set replaces the coarser plastic parts from a kit with a sharper casting with finer detail, and in this scale, where every panel joint shows, the difference tells most. The exact make-up of the package and the number of parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The GBU-39 belongs to the so-called small diameter bombs: compared with classic aircraft bombs it has a markedly smaller diameter and weight, a slim body and deployable wings that extend its reach in gliding flight after release. The BRU-61 rack is designed exactly for them and allows several to be carried on one pylon, so an aircraft carries more precision weapons without an increase in the number of stations.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the mold release agent - otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc rather than breaking them, and level the surface on abrasive paper; protect your breathing when sanding resin. They are bonded solely with super glue, as ordinary plastic cement does not work on resin. Apply a primer before painting. A thin wash will finally bring out the sharp edges and the lettering.
This is an accessory for a model, not a standalone kit. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
