Responsibility details are not available.
A single pilot figure for a large model of an attack aircraft. The designation specifies the subject as the LTV A-7D and A-7E Corsair II and the pose as standing, in the type 1 form. The maker offers further poses as well, so a whole group can be put together around the machine.
The Corsair II was created in the 1960s as a subsonic attack machine derived in shape from the F-8 fighter. It was designed to carry a large quantity of stores over medium range, had excellent endurance and, for its time, an advanced navigation and targeting system. The A-7D version served with the air force and the A-7E with the navy; the two differed mainly in the engine and the cockpit equipment. The machine proved itself in Southeast Asia and, two decades later, over the Persian Gulf.
Flying kit consists of several layers that should not all have the same sheen. The coveralls stay matte, the anti-g trousers and the harness will take a slightly finer satin, and the helmet by contrast stands out in gloss. Build the skin from a darker undercoat toward a lighter top, or the face will flatten in a larger scale. Finally dust the boots and the trouser legs, so that the figure visually stands on the ground rather than beside it.
The painting, the filling and any base are up to you.
