A standing pilot for a model of the LTV A-7D/A-7E Corsair II, form type 2, 1:32 is the second pose variant made to complete a large model of the attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second of the pose variants of a pilot with which the space around a large model can be filled. The designation limits the real subject to the LTV A-7D and A-7E versions and describes the pose as standing, type 2. Together with the type 1 variant it makes a pair that can be placed side by side.
A single figure by a model works as a sense of scale; two already create a relationship. When two people are turned toward each other, the viewer imagines a conversation before takeoff or a report after landing, and the scene gains action at once. It helps not to place both figures on one line; a small offset in depth and a difference in eye level look far more natural than symmetry.
Let the procedure run from the bottom up: skin first, then the layers of clothing and finally the small accessories. On the gear, watch that the straps and buckles are a shade darker than the surface they lie on, or they will merge with it. A slight difference in color between the coverall and the anti-g trousers is also fitting, because they are different materials and in reality the shades never match exactly. Keep a glossy surface for the helmet visor alone.
Paints and other modeling chemicals have to be obtained separately.
