About product

Red Fox Studio P-40E Warhawk 1:32 - a 3D instrument panel

This is not a model of the aircraft but a color accessory for a cockpit. The Hungarian manufacturer Red Fox Studio makes it as a thin layered film with a raised 3D relief, colored in advance including the scales, the lettering and the warning lights, with an imitation of the reflection of the dial glasses. The set is intended for models of the P-40E Warhawk in 1:32 scale.

The real subject

The Curtiss P-40E Warhawk was an American fighter of the Second World War with an Allison V engine. It became famous for its service in the Pacific as well as the North African theater and for the well known shark mouth on the engine cowling with units such as the Flying Tigers. Its cockpit has a typical instrument panel, which the set captures faithfully.

Usage tips

Cut the parts out, degrease them and glue them with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. The relief will stand fine washes for emphasis. The film can be bent slightly to sit against the shape of the cockpit tub.

Who it is for

  • Modelers wanting a realistic cockpit without painting dials
  • Builders of P-40E models in 1:32 scale
  • More advanced builders who work with fine parts

This is a cockpit accessory. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
