Big Ed from the manufacturer Eduard is a collection of several separate accessory sets matched to one particular injection-molded kit of the Tornado GR.1 in 1:32 scale. It typically contains colored photo-etched parts for the interior and the exterior, seatbelt straps and a set of painting masks. Note that this is not a kit of the aircraft but an accessory that is glued and fitted onto the base model.
The Panavia Tornado GR.1 is the British strike variant of the European multirole combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing (the so-called swing wing). This two-seat, twin-engine machine served with the RAF from the 1980s as a carrier of precision armament for low-level runs and proved itself in combat among other things in the operations in the Persian Gulf.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them on a photo-etch bender. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The colored photo-etched parts only need to be lightly flattened in gloss or given a patina. Fit the kabuki masks precisely onto the glazing and press the cut edges down so that the paint does not creep under them.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
