The F-105 was among the heaviest single-engine combat aircraft of its day and its landing gear matched. On a model that tells twice over. First, the wheels are large, so a simplified tread and a parting seam from the mold are conspicuous. Second, a model in 1:32 scale weighs something itself and stands on exactly these three points, so the correct geometry matters. Resin wheels tend to be shaped as loaded, with a slightly settled contact patch, which gives the model the impression of weight that a perfectly round plastic wheel never has.
Wash the mold release off the castings in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Cut the casting block off with a saw, level the surface on abrasive paper on glass and keep checking that all three wheels sit in the same plane. Sand wet and with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate and when settling the wheel check that the surface it rests on faces downward, otherwise the credible shaping is wasted. Apply primer before painting, spray the tire in dark gray rather than pure black and deal with the rim separately.
