The turned metal part set MASTER 1:32 SAAB JAS 39 Gripen – pitot tubes and angle-of-attack probes replaces the plastic sensors on the nose of a model of the Swedish fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
Turned metal detail parts, not a model of the aircraft. The set replaces the plastic pitot tubes and angle-of-attack probes on the nose of a model of the Swedish SAAB JAS 39 Gripen fighter in 1:32 scale.
The SAAB JAS 39 Gripen is a Swedish multirole supersonic fighter of canard layout, brought into service in the middle of the 1990s. On the nose and the sides of the nose it carries a set of airspeed and angle-of-attack sensors that are characteristic of a faithful model. These thin and tiny features are hard to reproduce in plastic and tend to be easily damaged, so it is precisely here that a metal replacement pays off most.
Cut off the plastic tubes and sensors and glue the metal parts in their place with cyanoacrylate. Metal holds its shape, does not break during handling and allows a sharper and thinner build than plastic. Before painting, go over the parts with a base coat (primer) and mind the correct angle and placement of the sensors on the nose.
This is not a complete model. The set does not contain glue, paints or a kit.
