A resin detail (diorama) set - a ship's catapult for the Arado Ar 196 A-3 in 1:32 scale from HpH Models. Intended for use with Revell models. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for displaying one.

Note: this is not an aircraft kit but a resin detail and diorama set - a model of the ship's catapult from which Arado Ar 196 floatplanes were launched from the decks of warships. The set in 1:32 scale from the Czech maker HpH Models is designed for displaying an Ar 196 model (according to the manufacturer, for Revell kits in 1:32). It contains cast resin parts combined with plastic profiles and metal elements; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Warships (cruisers and battleships such as the Bismarck or the Prinz Eugen, for instance) carried floatplane reconnaissance aircraft that could not take off from the deck - they were therefore launched by catapult. This set turns that catapult into a striking display base for an Ar 196 model.
Bond the resin and metal parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate); wash the mold release agent off the parts first and cut the casting blocks off; sand with respiratory protection. A more demanding accessory for advanced modelers.
A detail set (without the aircraft model). The aircraft model, glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
