The No.27 limber served to carry the ammunition of the British 25-pounder field gun; it was usually hitched between the towing vehicle and the gun and carried a supply of rounds in transport frames. In field conditions the load was protected against the weather with a canvas cover, whose shape and folds this accessory captures faithfully.
Seat the part on the model of the limber and glue it with a suitable glue according to the type of material. You will achieve a realistic impression of canvas by shading the folds delicately, with lighter crests and darker hollows, and by dusting them lightly with pigments. Weather the transitions between the cover and the frame of the limber so that the accessory blends with the rest of the build.
