A 3D-printed resin set of cylindrical transport cases for the spare barrels of the German MG 34/42 machine gun, adapted for a model of the Sd.Kfz. 250/1 half-track in 1:35 scale. It is a detail accessory: it is not a vehicle kit or the weapon itself. The manufacturer is the SBS Model brand.
The spare barrels of the machine gun were carried in characteristic sheet metal cases fixed to the sides of the vehicle. Faithful castings of these cases give a model an authentic detail of armament and maintenance that is usually missing out of the box.
Wash the parts, remove the print supports and glue them with super glue in the places shown by period photographs. Apply a primer before painting; shade the metal cases with a wash and light corrosion for a worn look.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
