An injection-molded plastic model of the German three-ton L701 cargo truck of the Second World War in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. According to the manufacturer the box contains photo-etched parts, a full engine that can be shown with the hood open or closed, a wooden cab and several decal options with registration plates, unit markings and technical markings. It is the detailed kind of build typical of this brand.
The L701 was a three-ton cargo truck built in Germany in the closing stages of the war as a license-built version of the proven Opel Blitz. The vehicle served for general transport of cargo and troops. Compared with the original Opel it had a simplified cab in the last year of the war and a different front without the company badge. It was built in relatively small numbers.
The detailed engine and the photo-etched parts make this a build for a careful hand. Attach the plastic parts with thin modeling cement and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the engine and the cab interior before closing them up. After a coat of primer and an airbrushed base color, bring the tarpaulin, the cargo bed and the chassis to life with a wash and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
