It is not a helicopter kit but an accessory for experienced modelers that replaces the wheels from the plastic kit with more accurate castings with a fine tire tread pattern and detail on the rims. The set is made for models of the Mi-8 transport helicopter and its modernized Mi-17 version.
The Mil Mi-8 and the derived Mi-17 are among the most widespread multi-purpose helicopters in the world. They serve for carrying troops and cargo in military and civil versions and are characterized by a five-blade main rotor and a pair of turboshaft engines above the cabin.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut the casting blocks off and clean them up with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting; the tires and rims stand out once accentuated with a wash and dust pigments.
The accessory is supplied as a resin set, unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
