An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Opel Blitz 3.6-47 type W39 army bus in the Stabswagen (staff car) version in 1:35 scale from Roden. It is a classic plastic model that has to be clipped from the sprues, assembled and painted. The package holds injection-molded plastic parts, rubber tires and a decal sheet; take the exact contents and the schemes from the packaging.
The Opel Blitz was one of the most widespread German trucks of the Second World War. Its chassis also carried the standard army bus version, known at the time as the omnibus, used among other things as a staff and signals vehicle. These vehicles served both on the Eastern Front and with units in North Africa. The bus body gave the crew a base for command work, transport and paperwork in the field.
Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic and clean up the seams by sanding. Treat the long body sides with a primer so that the paint holds and the detail stands out. Fit the wheels with their rubber tires only after painting. A dark wash in the pressings and panels, a dry brush on the edges and dust pigments on the underside and the chassis will add realism.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
