Red gaming tokens in the shape of stones from the range of Green Stuff World. They replace the paper and card markers from a game box and serve for counting values and marking game states in board and tabletop games. The details certain from the name are the color version and the shape.
A cube is technical and neutral, while a stone looks organic and fits better into games with a fantasy or adventure theme. The irregular shape has a practical side too: you recognize it by touch in a handful, on a board it does not look like part of a geometric grid, and on the table it stands apart visually from the dice, which a square token might be mistaken for. Red is moreover usually reserved for wounds, fire or attack abilities, so even a fellow player still learning the rules will grasp its meaning.
For players who care about the atmosphere of a table as much as about clarity, and for those who build up a nicer set of aids for their games over time. The size, the number of pieces and the material are given by the manufacturer on the packaging. The color version and the shape follow from the name, and in the role of a game marker those are the essentials.
