Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet armored car BA-6 in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model belongs to a range of interwar Soviet equipment that the manufacturer builds on the common basis of three-axle truck chassis.
The BA-6 was based on the three-axle GAZ-AAA truck and followed on from the earlier BA-3 type. It carried a rotating turret taken from the T-26 light tank with a 45mm gun and a coaxial machine gun, so it was a vehicle with the firepower of a tank but with only light armor and road mobility. It was built in the second half of the 1930s and the Soviets used it in the Spanish Civil War, in the fighting at Khalkhin Gol and in the Winter War with Finland. A few captured examples also served with the Finnish army. By the fighting of 1941 the vehicle was already obsolete.
First finish the frame, the axles and the chassis, and only then fit the body, otherwise the stance of the car is hard to line up. On armored cars the lines of the plates show a great deal, so it pays to sand the joints smooth and spray the surface with primer. After the base green the shape of the body comes out well with a dark wash in the engraving. Concentrate the mud effects on the wheels, the fenders and the lower areas, where wheeled vehicles collect the most dirt.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
