An injection-molded plastic kit of the luxury Mercedes-Benz 500 SLC coupe in 1:24 scale from Italeri. Besides the plastic parts the box contains chrome components, rubber tires, waterslide decals and a color assembly guide. The model faithfully captures the elegant line of the closed C107 series coupe with its long hood and characteristic side windows.
In the 1970s and the early 1980s the Mercedes-Benz 500 SLC belonged to the top of the marque's range. It was a sporting luxury coupe of the C107 series derived from the SL roadster, powered by a five-liter V8. The car combined the comfort of a grand tourer with performance and became a respected representative of the Mercedes-Benz line-up of its day. In its time it also made its mark in demanding long-distance rallies.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in sub-assemblies. Smooth the body, apply a primer and spray the gloss color with an airbrush; a gloss coat helps under any decals. Finish the interior and the engine bay before you close the body up. Cut the chrome parts away carefully and fit them only after the surrounding surfaces are painted, so that you do not damage the glossy finish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
