This is a detailed upgrade set from Rye Field Model containing photo-etched parts and other refining components for improving the plastic kit of the Soviet T-55A medium tank in its Model 1981 version. It is not a model in its own right but an accessory that replaces or supplements the simplified areas of the basic kit and raises the fidelity of the result in 1:35 scale.
The T-55A was an upgrade of the proven Soviet T-55 medium tank. It was marked by anti-radiation protection for the crew, improved equipment and a 100 mm gun. It served from the 1960s all over the world with the armies of the Warsaw Pact and of many other states, and became one of the most widespread tanks in history.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them with a photo-etch bending tool or a metal ruler. Super glue is the right choice for bonding small metal parts. Before the paint goes on it is worth degreasing the whole assembly and spraying it with a primer, which acrylic paints grip better.
This is an accessory set, not a model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
