Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the British battleship HMS Resolution in 1:350 scale. The large scale gives room to the hull shapes, the elaborate superstructure, and the main-caliber gun turrets, so the finished model makes an impressive display piece. The manufacturer is the Chinese company Trumpeter, which has 1:350 scale ships as one of its main lines.
HMS Resolution belonged to the Revenge class, a group of five Royal Navy battleships ordered even before the First World War. She was launched in 1915 and entered service at the end of 1916. Her main armament consisted of eight 381 mm guns in four twin turrets. During the Second World War she served off West Africa, where she was hit by a torpedo during the 1940 operation off Dakar; after repairs she served in the Indian Ocean and spent the end of her career on auxiliary and training duties. She was scrapped shortly after the war.
Decide right at the start whether you want a full-hull model on a stand or a waterline version set into a sea base. It is practical to spray the hull and decks before fitting the smaller superstructure and armament. Apply the Royal Navy gray shades with an airbrush in thin coats so the engraved detail stays readable. Wooden decks stand out once the seams are lightly highlighted with a dark shade. Leave the masts, boats, and delicate booms until the very end, or they will get in the way during handling.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
