A set of sixteen turned brass barrels of 105 mm caliber of the SK C/33 type in 1:350 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. It is a metal aftermarket accessory, not a kit. The barrels replace the plastic barrels of the heavy anti-aircraft guns mounted in the C/31 type mount on models of German warships.
The 105 mm gun of the SK C/33 type was the standard heavy anti-aircraft weapon of the Kriegsmarine in the Second World War. In the C/31 type mount it was fitted as a twin and protected large ships against air attack. Sixteen barrels match eight twin mounts.
Turned barrels have a more faithful muzzle and take handling better than fine plastic parts. Cut the plastic barrels off, clean the mating surfaces up, degrease the brass and fit them with super glue. It is advisable to prime the metal before painting.
This is a metal detail accessory. The ship model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
