A set of sixteen turned brass barrels of 37 mm caliber of the SK C/30 type with a length of 83 calibers in 1:350 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. It is a metal aftermarket accessory, not a kit. The barrels replace the tiny plastic barrels of the light anti-aircraft guns on models of German warships.
The 37 mm gun of the SK C/30 type was a semi-automatic anti-aircraft weapon of the Kriegsmarine. It was fitted in stabilized twin mounts and formed an important part of the close defense of large ships against low-flying aircraft.
Fine plastic barrels in this scale are easily damaged, while a metal replacement is stronger and more accurate. Cut the plastic barrels off, clean the mating surfaces up, degrease the brass and fit them with super glue. It is advisable to prime the metal before painting.
This is a metal detail accessory. The ship model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
