About product

MASTER 1:350 USS Oliver Hazard Perry - aerials and OTO-Melara 76mm

A detail set for the Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate in 1:350 scale from the Polish brand MASTER. It is not a ship model but an accessory: a turned metal barrel for the OTO-Melara 76mm/62 naval gun together with fine aerials. The parts replace coarser plastic pieces and refine the superstructure and the armament.

The real subject

The Oliver Hazard Perry class frigates (type FFG-7) were multipurpose surface units of the US Navy in service from the end of the 1970s. Their main gun armament was the rapid-firing OTO-Melara 76mm; the many aerials and sensor masts are characteristic as well.

Usage and painting tips

The turned barrel has a faithful muzzle and proportions, and the fine aerials give the upper bridge a scale delicacy. Separate the parts carefully, bond them with super glue and degrease and prime the metal before painting.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of modern warships in 1:350.
  • Modelers who want to replace the plastic barrel and aerials with more accurate parts.
  • Collectors who care about the detail of the superstructure.

This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.

FAQ

No, it is a detail accessory. The set contains a turned metal OTO-Melara 76mm barrel and aerials for a 1:350 frigate model.

For the Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate (type FFG-7) in 1:350 scale.

We recommend super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal and apply a base coat before painting.
