A detail set from Mini Craft Collection in 1:48 scale, 3D-printed in resin. It lets you build a model of the Douglas A-1 Skyraider attack aircraft with the wing tips folded, the way the machines stood on an aircraft carrier deck. The set is intended for Tamiya plastic kits. Besides the fold mechanism itself it also contains turned brass aircraft cannon barrels and brass support struts. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory for more experienced modelers.
It replaces the fixed wing with a faithful fold mechanism with fine riveting and wiring, and it adds turned brass cannon barrels that are crisper and tougher than plastic parts. Brass struts for a firm seating of the folded wings are included as well.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, in a metal tin with foam. Glue, paints and the base model are not included.
